Alex Rixey travels home to DC after spending four years in the Fehr & Peers Los Angeles office. Alex was raised in Midlothian, Virginia, moved to Arlington and workARixeyed in Washington, D.C. after completing his undergraduate work. His education on the east coast included attending Midlothian High School and the University of Virginia, which was then followed by two more years of school on the west coast at UCLA.

“One of my earliest bike touring memories is of riding the C&O Canal from Cumberland, MD to Georgetown in 6th grade. Now that the Great Allegheny Passage trail connects all the way to Pittsburgh, I’m looking forward to reliving that memory and tagging on a few more miles.”

In his move back to DC, Alex is most excited about exploring the city on foot, running on the Mall and Capital Crescent Trail, biking on Mt. Vernon and the C&O Canal, rowing on the Potomac from Thompson Boat Center, and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. If there’s one thing that he can’t wait to taste again it could be described in two words: Crab. Cakes.

We’re very excited for Alex to relocate and join our DC team, bringing his expertise as a transportation planner and former resident to the region. For Alex’s professional bio, click here.
