DC Market Lead
Nat joins Fehr & Peers as the DC Region Market Lead with 24 years of experience in coordinated land use and transportation planning. His main practice is to combine leadership perspective with aptitude for using the newest analysis tools. Previously, he was Assistant General Manager, Planning, Real Estate, and Parking of WMATA and Assistant Director, Planning and Capital Programming of Maryland DOT. As a planning expert in the region, he specializes in TOD and station access planning, surface transit planning, transportation performance measurement and strategic planning, policy development, and program development for executive-level decision makers.
His experience provides a wide variety of project work, such as DDOT North-South Transit Enhancement Study, Maryland DOT TOD Roundtable, WMATA 2025 Financing Panel, Union Station Capacity Expansion Plan, WMATA Park and Ride Efficiency Improvements, Bike and Pedestrian Program Expansion, and WMA Sustainability Program and Energy Efficiency Investment. He has been involved with a number of affiliations including the Urban Land Institute and Technical Assistance Panel Committee. His selected publications and presentations have been featured in GreaterGreater Washington (twice in 2014), APTA Policy Committee (2012), and Easter Seals (2010).
